Latest update: 8.34pm on Tuesday 17 October 2017
Low flow releases from Somerset Dam into Wivenhoe Dam are planned within the next 24 hours.
These releases are not expected to cause the lake level in Wivenhoe Dam to increase by more than 0.5 metres over the next 24 hour period.
Routine operational releases are common to balance the lake levels across Somerset and Wivenhoe dams.
Gated releases from Wivenhoe Dam or North Pine Dam are not planned or occurring.
Due to heavy rainfall, the following un-gated dams are spilling excess water:
- Poona Dam
- Lake Manchester Dam
Due to continuing rain in the catchment area, outflows have increased from the following dams. Avoid potential hazards downstream of the dam, such as fast flowing or deep water near waterways and flood plains:
- Wappa Dam
- Lake Macdonald
- Cedar Pocket Dam
